Notifications & Advisories
WINTER STORM DAMAGE 4/2018: This past winter has seen numerous damaging storms that have hit the Seacoast with increased power and damage. The most recent of these past 2 storms caused erosion of the park's shoreline walking paths, knocked down several trees within the park and severely damaged the pier. The Town of Kittery is currently assessing the damage to the shoreline and trees and will be formulating a plan to address the next steps. Work on repairing the pier has already begun and will continue through the Spring. Questions about any of these topics should be directed to the Kittery Public Works Department at 207-439-0333.
SEASON PASS NOTICE 3/2018:
It's that time of year again. Be sure to purchase your season pass prior to visiting Fort Foster in May. Passes are available for purchase at the Kittery town Hall.
Kittery residents are reminded that their transfer station (a.k.a. "dump") sticker allows them to park at Seapoint. It does not allow entry into Fort Foster. These stickers are not linked to the vehicle's re-registration date either. Please acquire your stickers before visiting the beach and park. Vehicles and walkers without the current Fort Foster season pass will be charged an entry fee.
LEASHED DOG NOTICE 9/2017:
In a very short amount of time, the park will be open to vehicular traffic. Dog owners are reminded to dust off their leashes and use them when the park opens for the 2018 season on May 5th.
